EYE CARE TIPS


Eyes are the windows to the world for any person and needless to say that It is one of the most precious organs of the human body. In present day, lifestyle changes and varied work patterns leads to eyes being strained more than before. The eyes constantly need to navigate through the computer screens, cell phone screen, environmental pollution, etc. And given these conditions in mind it is imperative to take care of the eyes regularly to keep it healthy. 

Listed below are some simple eye care tips that are easy to follow-
  • 1.Consuming a diet rich in essential Vitamins is a must for healthy eyes. Eggs, Papaya, Fish, Cilantro, Milk, etc. can be consumed for giving supplement to the body.

  • 2.Washing the eyes with cold water frequently during the day is a good practice to rid the eyes of any impurities.

  • 3.Dark circles have become a common for most and this can be removed by using sliced cucumber or potato slices on the eyes and affected area.

  • 4.Amla water is very good for washing the eyes.

  • 5.When eyes are excessively strained soak cotton in luke warm milk place it on the eyes and keep it for a good duration and relax completely.

  • 6.If the eye twitches, or the eyes are red and feeling prickly, massaging the scalp using curd is an effective therapy.

  • 7.Spending extensive hours viewing television or working in front of the computer is a common practice for all individuals in the modern age. To avoid straining the eyes far too much it is advisable that after 15 to 20 minutes of work blink the eye few times and look away from the computer screen this helps in relaxing the eye muscles.

  • 8.Another good exercise is rubbing the palms against each other till the point it becomes warm. The cover up the eyes with your warm palms for a while.

  • 9.Most people tend to ignore the importance of eye care thus; the best thing to do is attach an anti-glare shield on to the computer monitor and laptop screen. Also place the monitor and room lights in such a style that glare from the screen can be minimised.

  • 10.Work out the eyes at regular interval throughout the day by closing the eyes and then rotating them clockwise then similarly counter clockwise for a few minutes.

  • 11.The good working of the human body depends on body fluids in which water is an essential component. So for keeping the eyes healthy drinking minimum 2 litres of water in a day is imperative. The appropriate hydration can assist the eyes more than we can even envisage.

The human eyes are an inconceivable outcome of bio-engineering, but keep in mind that they do require to relax for a bit. Just sit down with the eyes closed for a while and relax the body and mind. This not only relaxes the eye muscles but also de-stress the body and helps the body to let go of the strain caused during the day.
